Vertigo vs Dizziness
Are Vertigo and Dizziness the same thing? In one short answer, No. However, there is more to it.
Dizziness is a disrupted perception of spatial orientation, where your sense of position in space feels distorted, and your balance seems unsteady. It might make you feel light-headed, woozy, or as though you could fall unless you sit down.
Vertigo, in contrast, involves a genuine sensation of motion, either of yourself or your surroundings — it feels like spinning. You may perceive the environment as moving or rotating, even though it’s actually still.
